Quieting the mind

I discovered the correct way to share links to articles from the New York Times in a blog. It’s called a “permalink” and allows you to view the article even after it becomes part of the archive, which would require a paid subscription to access (unless you have a permlink!).

Below is the permalink to an article on the practice of mindfulness in some elementary school classrooms. The techniques involve focused breathing and concentrating on a single object. The premise can be summarized as, “If we can help children slow down and think, they have the answers within themselves.”
